This spring, my parents and I went to Cartagena, Colombia, for 5 days. We stayed at the hotel Casa San Agustin in the Suite del Virrey.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by friendly receptionists offering virgin mojitos. After having a difficult flight there, we were immediately relaxed.
The hotel itself is great. Our hotel room was perfect for the three of us. It has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and terrace. The terrace of the master bedroom has a hot tub, but the other bedroom’s terrace is on the top floor of the hotel and overlooks the whole city.

The hotel pool was dreamy. Most afternoons, we relaxed at the pool, and sometimes, we ordered lunch from the comfort of our lounge chairs.

The spa is one of the best I have been to. I got a 90-minute massage, and I am very happy I did not choose the shorter option. It was extraordinary. After my massage, I rested in the spa’s salon and had some fruit and water.
The hotel restaurant was good. My entree, a ceviche, was delicious. My main course was good, but not great. However, my dessert, a chocolate lava cake, was excellent. During our dinner, there was a fun band playing. Even though Cartagena is very hot and the restaurant is outdoors, there were many fans that kept the restaurant at a comfortable temperature.

Finally, another thing I enjoyed was the tea-time, every day from 4:00 to 5:00 in the library.
Overall, the hotel service and the hotel itself were fantastic, rendering my experience perfect, and I hope I can return soon!
