Recently, I visited San Francisco as part of my trip to California with my family. While we only had a short amount of time in the city before heading to Yosemite, we were able to get a great glimpse at San Francisco!
I will first note that as for our accommodations, we stayed at the Four Seasons, which was great. The service was impeccable, and the hotel itself is beautiful. We had breakfast there every day and dinner there on our last night. The restaurant is gorgeous, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the city. The hotel also has a beautiful Equinox gym – for those interested.
Our first day there, we visited the famous Painted Ladies and the surrounding neighborhood in the morning. While the Painted Ladies were slightly duller than the Full House introduction suggests, the shops around it are very cute.

We ate lunch at the Water Bar and walked along the water. The restaurant overlooks the Bay Bridge (the post’s featured image) and has great food, a win-win! With San Francisco’s rather mild temperature, it was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the view. For dinner, we went to 54 Mint, a wonderful Italian restaurant. The croquettes and cacio e pepe were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our second day, we went to a San Francisco Giants baseball game at the team’s beautiful Oracle Park, which overlooks the bay. Even if you are not a baseball fan, the game is super fun and gives you an experience unique to San Francisco, from kayakers catching home runs hit into the bay to live paddle board races between innings.

Our third day, we rented bicycles from Blazing Saddles and rode along the San Francisco beaches, over the Golden Gate Bridge, and into Sausalito, an adorable little town. There, we stopped for ice cream at the famous Lappert’s Ice Cream, which was delicious! We took the ferry back to San Francisco, which offered great views of the bridge.
We then dropped off our bikes, then headed to In-N-Out Burger to see what the west coast’s hype is all about. Being vegetarian, I got a chocolate milkshake and fries, and honestly, I was thoroughly disappointed. The “chocolate” milkshake had hardly any chocolate in it, and the fries were rather tasteless.

As mentioned, we ate dinner at our hotel, the Four Seasons, which was delicious.
